Personal Description:

Hi there,
My name is Ellen and I graduated from Trinity College with a first class majors honours in Psychology, as well as an honours degree in French.
I am currently a postgraduate student in UCC. I previously completed my Leaving Certificate through Irish and received 590 in my Leaving Certificate in the Gaeltacht, and have worked teaching Irish to students from all different backgrounds.During university, I was awarded a residency scholarship on the basis of my Irish language proficiency. I was awarded an Entrance Scholarship to TCD, and also acted as a TCD French Department Ambassador on a trip to Brussels. I have extensive research experience, from receiving a first class honours in my Final Year Thesis in Psychology, and have worked on various papers since graduating.

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive teaching experience, from summer camps to individual grinds. I have extensive experience teaching children with physical/mental disabilities as well as neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, ASD spectrum, and psychological problems such as Generalised Anxiety, social anxiety etc.
I have also worked as a ceannaire in an Irish Language College teaching Irish to children from primary school/secondary school backgrounds, and have volunteered in college teaching Irish to children from different backgrounds. I also have provided individual one-on-one grinds to secondary school/third level students to help them increase their grades.

Approach to Grinds:

I am highly focussed on the task at hand, and will be extremely thorough in the work I do. I will provide each student with the key knowledge and skills, as well as exam strategies and tips. For third level students, I am well versed in completing essays and projects, and can help provide an effective layout, and help promote critical analysis skills.
