Personal Description:

My friends would describe me as a happy-go-lucky and lively girl. I thoroughly enjoy the nature- meditating and travelling while experiencing new cultures, foods, and languages. I have been painting since a very young age and continue to do so every weekend as a leisure activity. I have been studying the French language since Grade 6 up pursued it at Graduation level as well. I am also an animal lover and had been volunteering at a dog shelter in my hometown for a couple of years before moving to Ireland. I would also like to soon learn more about the Irish culture and Gaelic Football.
The transition from a sheltered environment back home in New Delhi to that of a completely independent lifestyle in Dublin was initially a challenge. It was the first time I was living away from home in all of 21 years and I'm especially proud of how I managed to make this transition with utmost patience and dedication which included working tirelessly for a time-consuming course such as Quantitative Finance, juggling cooking, cleaning, laundry etc.(which was so new to me) with part-time work as a tutor too.
Having graduated in Statistics, I have in-depth training in validating data, thoroughly enjoy working with numbers and possess strong analytical and numerical skills. Taking the initiative whether it be leading team projects or volunteering is important to me. I was chosen the President of the Statistics Club during under-graduation and have been appointed as the Class Ambassador for Quantitative Finance as well as the UniBuddy Ambassador at Smurfit which involves working with dynamic personalities, thought processes and working styles. I believe these experiences have developed my interpersonal and communication skills which can be put to good use while working with students.
One of the major reasons for my motivation to work as a tutor is the stimulating work. Every day will be different and there will be different complexities attached to each student I work with which will indeed be challenging yet rewarding.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored more than 10 University level students back in my hometown in various modules of English, Maths, Statistics and French. During my time at UCD, I have given tuitions for applied mathematics to many students as well. I have also tutored many students from Grade2 up to Grade 9 for subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Maths, English, Statistics and Physics. My school would give out a 'Roll of Honor' to students with exceptional academic performance which I have received consistently from Grade 6 through Grade 12. I have also been on the Student Council during my schooling days which gave me an insight on my leadership and interactive abilities. At the end of my under-graduation, I was awarded for active contribution to the Statistics Club as the President. I have also been appointed as the Class Ambassador for Quantitative Finance as well as the UniBuddy Ambassador at Smurfit which involves working with dynamic personalities, thought processes and working styles.

Approach to Grinds:

I follow an approach of customizing my material to the student's needs. I believe since I am fresh out of masters, I am able to gauge the difficulties a student may face in a more realistic manner since I myself may have faced those issues not long ago. Moreover, I also give out custom notes and tests to ensure an effective learning mechanism. I believe in giving homework to re instill all learning which took place during a class time.
