Information About Dearbhla - Dublin tutor
This is how a referee rated Dearbhla:
Hi, my name is Dearbhla. I’m a very friendly and outgoing person with a passion for science and education. For my Leaving Certificate I choose to do entirely science subjects, (biology, chemistry, applied maths and physics), and achieved high grades in each. Currently, I am third year neuroscience student at University College Dublin (UCD) and have maintained a 4.0 GPA while partaking in various extra circular activities.
During 6th year in secondary school I was chosen to be a perfect. This meant I was to become a mentor for a small assigned group of incoming first year students. It was my responsibility to ensure they adjusted to the change in their school environment as smoothly as possible. For two of my mentees this included tutoring them outside of school hours on several subjects including science, geography, and maths.
I also have experience tutoring Leaving Certificate students. I gave biology and chemistry grinds to several students during my first year of college.
Approach to Grinds:
I want to help student reach their full potential in their subject of choice. I will give clear, concise notes tailored to individual student learning requirements and regular assessments to gauge students progress. I am a patient teacher and will work with my student. As a neuroscience student I love studying science subjects, especially biology and chemistry, however I understand not everyone shares my enthusiasm. My aim is not just to achieve a grade but to also have my students enjoying the time the spend learning.
