Personal Description:
I am a Theoretical Physics graduate from Trinity College Dublin. I achieved a first in my degree and 625 points in my leaving cert with H1's in Maths, Applied Maths, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have always loved to teach, whether that meant helping my friends with a particularly difficult topic or my younger siblings with their Maths homework, getting a point across to someone has been something I excel at.
Tutoring Experience:
I am in my fourth year of teaching grinds and since I started I have taught 18 students up until their leaving cert. I had a great experience with all of my previous students, and with a little help they have all come a long way and their grades have improved greatly. I also volunteer to teach a supplemental class on abstract algebra to second year Maths students at Trinity.
Approach to Grinds:
I approach the grinds I teach in an exam oriented way. Ultimately, my goal is to maximise a student's grade in a subject by teaching them how to approach the exams, what the examiner expects, and of course going over course material with them.

My child has a good level of maths, but is aiming to get maximum possible leaving cert points to get into his dream course. David has been able to fill the gaps and improve his knowledge. I have also noticed that my child is enjoying studying maths more now, so hopefully, he'll do well in the leaving cert next year.

My daughter had a poor maths teacher in school. She received a H7 in her 5th year summer exams. She needed a H4 for the course she wanted. She did weekly grinds with David during sixth year and achieved a H3 in her Leaving Cert.
She said that David was very good at explaining the concepts rather than just teaching the methods. This helped her enormously. The grinds defintely relieved the stress around maths.
I would have no hesitation in recommending David.

David is very knowledgeable, explains things very well and is extremely patient. We would whole heartedly recommend David.
