Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker and I have been living 19 years in Ireland. I am fluent in both English and French.
I hold a French National Diploma in Business Studies in Tourism since year 2000.
I have got 3 years experience where I was working as a customer service for the French Sales Department of a company based in Ireland
I have got 8 years receptionist experience working for a Holiday Village based in Ireland
Overall, 12 years experience in the Irish hotel sector making good use of my French.
I enjoy welcoming French Groups and organizing tours of County Mayo along with guiding each groups throughout their stay.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching both Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students in the past, helping students revise their exams. Being a French Native I give good help regarding pronunciation for spoken exams. Pronunciation taking an important part in it.
I then took a break and I am now looking at starting again aiming also to open my teaching experience to adults who could for example have their own children living currently in a french spoken country. It does help to learn the language if (talking from experience remembering my own parents) your own child marry a native from that country and decide to live their for the rest of his/her life. It will basically be a ice breaker between families.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds is simple but effective with good exams results as I am taking into account my own experience of coming to a country where I could not speak the language at first.
I believe learning a language is all about vocabulary before even looking at grammars and so on. It will come naturally with practice. I make sure my students have understood what they have learnt on the day by reviewing each week what we have done the week before, answering question that may have arisen and continuing from there. It is not about racing, it is about taking it one lesson at a time.
