I am a young, energetic teacher with six years experience in mainstream, inclusion and special education. I also have experience working with pupils for July Provision. I also completed two years tutoring a young EAL primary student from first tutors.
I am currently a primary special class teacher in an ASD classroom. Teaching pupils with Autism it is important to focus on the individual strengths of the child and break down learning into manageable steps. Following my PGCE I taught in an inclusive class in East London for two years. I gained valuable experience teaching, assessing and planning for the needs of pupils with Down Syndrome, Global Delay, Dyslexia and ASD. Working in a multicultural city I have gained valuable experience teaching pupils with English as an additional language.
Approach to Grinds:
Similar to my classroom I like to create grinds that are fun, engaging and tailored to the individual. I believe having a positive, memorable experience allows students to become motivated to achieve their full potential.
