Information About Anthony - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Hi there,
My name is Anthony and I am a 26 year old PE and Biology teacher in St Patricks Cathedral Grammar School. I Graduated in 2021 from DCU with a Honours degree in PE and Biology teaching. I went straight out into teaching and have been so for the last 2 years. I am young and enthusiastic with a passion for pushing people to do well in Biology in particular. I myself went to a grind school (Yeats college Galway) and I have seen first hand what it takes to be pushed to the best of your abilities when it comes to the leaving cert Biology paper. Biology is a simple subject in the regards to time in reward out. I see my job as guiding students to understand the content and the paper all that is left is the learning off. Its unfortunate that the biology paper is not more creative but we can try to use that to our advantage.

Tutoring Experience:

As I have said above I have been permanently employed in St Patricks Cathedral Grammar School in Dublin 8 for the last 2 years and going on to my 3rd. These 2 years has helped me come on leaps and bounds in regards to my teaching of the leaving cert and junior cert courses. I wanted to get a few years experience under my belt of full time teaching before I would start grinds.
In relation to leaving cert Biology I am also a fully qualified PE teacher so that helps tie in with human biology and I am also a fully qualified farmer and green cert holder which helps tie in with plant biology.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds is to keep a small amount so I can give you the same quality that I would give my students in school. Once the school year begins I will only be able to do weekday evenings.
Where and how would be up to discussion on what would suit for different people. if you are located in the Dublin 8, 2, 4 or 6 region I would be willing to travel depending on how close you are.
I am also willing to give grinds over Zoom if distance is an issue.
I would suggest all grinds be 1 hour long to get the most out of them, if wanted can also be extended to 2.
