Personal Description:

Hi I’m Anna, I'm from Barcelona and I am a Spanish teacher at Maynooth University. I hold a masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have been living in Ireland for 9 years now and I absolutely love teaching languages!

Tutoring Experience:

As mentioned above, I am a Spanish University teacher, working in Maynooth University for the last 9 years. I am a native speaker and have a masters in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have also studied several courses related to teaching Spanish from Cervantes Institute. At the same time, I have been giving tuition classes at Leaving and Junior Cert level for many years so I am very familiar with the exam papers for both levels. For the past six years, I have also worked as an examiner for the Spanish Leaving Cert and Junior Cert orals in different schools around Co. Kildare and Dublin, and so I feel my knowledge in this area could greatly benefit any student looking to improve their grade.

Approach to Grinds:

I am very flexible in my approach to giving grinds and depending on the students needs and level I adapt my teaching accordingly. Every student is different and requires a unique approach. I don’t feel there is a one size fits all approach to grinds, however, one area that I like to focus on is oral work putting a lot of emphasis on correct use of grammar and vocabulary. I am only available to offer online grinds at the moment.
