## Personal Description:

I am a student from Kildare Town, offering grinds in leaving cert Applied Maths, Physics, Maths,JC Science and JC Maths.

I am currently in Fourth year of Mathematical Science in University College Cork, with modules in Maths, Applied Maths, Physics and Statistics. I have a First Class Honours and the title of College Scholar.

For my Leaving Cert; I received H1s in Applied Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Maths amounting to a total of 613 CAO points.

COVID-19 Update:

Due to the current self-isolation situation, personal tutoring sessions will not be possible. So, all sessions will now be online; I make sure that the quality of the sessions aren't affected by this by using the video conferencing application, zoom, where I can talk to the students and write notes in Real-Time just like a personal session.

## Tutoring Experience:

●I have been tutoring the above Leaving Cert subjects since I left school in 2017.

●During first year of College I was involved in study seminars.

●I have been giving summer tutoring sessions for College Students who wish to sit repeat exams since 2018.

## Approach to Grinds:

My Approach to grinds varies from student to student, But in General, my approach is as follows:

●I will ask the student what area they are struggling with e.g Trigonometry.

●I will then explain some simple theory and go through some easy problems in the topic.

●Once I feel like the student has a good grasp on the subject, I will move on to explain more difficult theory followed by more difficult problems.

●If there is enough time and I am happy with how well the student understands the topic, I move onto exam questions.

Personal Session:

I write structured notes in front of the student and explain them as I go, when the grind is finished, the student takes the notes home with them.

Online Session:

When in the video conference, it is possible to share my screen from my iPad to the call (The student can see my face, hear me talking as I explain the notes and see the screen of my iPad) where I write the notes in Real-Time. After the Session is over, I e-mail the notes as a pdf file to the student.
