Information About Aislinn - Ennis tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Aislinn:
An enthusiastic and easy going teacher who is very passionate about English. I believe students can learn and Excel once they have a role model who believes in them and tailors lessons to students' interests.
I have taught both primary and secondary in the Middle East for over 6 years. The first 3 years were in primary education with English being my specialist subject. The school followed the American curriculum so there was huge emphasis on grammar. I then spent over 3 years teaching secondary English along with social studies and drama. The school followed the British curriculum ( which is much like the Irish). I had mixed ability groups, high ability groups and EFL learners. I'm teaching in Ireland now whilst enrolled in the PME and i have been given Grinds to both junior and senior cycle students throughout the past year.
Approach to Grinds:
On a one-to-one basis I'll observe what areas the student needs to improve on and tailor lessons accordingly. If they are studying for a particular exam , then I will put emphasis on the skills needed to do well. I like to focus on skills and technique as they are transferable regardless of the text, poem, genre etc.
