Information About Adam - Tower tutor - (6 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Adam:
I am a first year Computer Science student in UCC. I studied Physics and Astrophysics in UCC for a year before switching course so I have a lot of experience with mathematics. I got 578 points in my Leaving Certificate and averaged 80% for my Physics and Astrophysics exams. I received a BT Young Scientist Entrance Scholarship to UCC and I was awarded the Tim Looney Medal from the Cork Education Training Board for my Leaving Certificate points.
I have tutored many of my friends and family with their Junior Certificate maths and science and their Leaving Certificate maths and physics.
Approach to Grinds:
I believe the best way to improve your understanding of maths is by doing out questions, but often times it is hard for a student to know how to approach a question. My approach to grinds would be to go through topics that are causing difficulty, explain the theory behind it and then work through problems. I would initially show the student how I would approach it and then get the student to practice similar questions from the book and from past exam papers, and if they get stuck they can ask me for help.
