Personal Description:

Hallo! My name is Sarah and I am a fluent German speaker from Dublin. I received a 2.1 Honours degree in German and Linguistics from University College Dublin. I was awarded a full ERASMUS scholarship to study at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen.
Aside from university, I have also worked as an au pair in Zurich, as a waitress in Berlin and was awarded a DAAD scholarship to study at the DID Institute in Hamburg for a summer.
My love for the German language began in school when I took part in a school exchange and since then I have immersed myself in the language and in the culture. In school and in university I took part in the German debating club and in my final year I was appointed as adjudicator for the TCD and UCD German Colours Debate 2016.
Now I am working as a Marketing Manager for a major German retail company in Dublin.
I would love the opportunity to help you improve your German language skills and be more confident when speaking the language and approaching the written papers. Los gehts!

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught multiple university and Junior / Leaving Certificate students German in a one-to-one setting. I have been a lecture assistant in college; planning lessons and tutoring various students since graduating.

Approach to Grinds:

I first like to assess my students on an individual basis, incorporating what they would like to work on and where they feel they need my assistance. I then come up with a comprehensive plan that enables the teaching and learning to go at a pace that suits the student. It is also very important to ensure that the student's learning approach is incorporated into each lesson; whether they are a visual, kinaesthetic etc. learner.
