Personal Description:
Qualified composer and educator. Graduated from University College Cork with a first class honours degree in English and Music. Currently studying a masters in scoring for Film, T.V and video games at Berklee Valencia. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach.
Experience includes two years teaching piano, guitar and music theory at Galway Music Academy, and three years experience working as a private tutor giving LC and JC grinds. I have a wide range of expertise in the areas of music theory, composition, and music technology. I am also offering professional grinds in English literature, possessing both an extensive knowledge of literary texts and genres, and how to approach them in an exam situation.
Tutoring Experience:
I have worked as a freelance music teacher for several years now and very confident in my teaching approach and success rate.
Approach to Grinds:
My approach is methodological. Studying the arts is all about learning to think critically and applying these skills in an exam situation. My aim is to help students acquire a formula for approaching exam questions and to improve their overall ability to engage with the syllabus and material.
