2017-present math and science tutor
1. Use analogy and encouragement to facilitate learning
2. Carefully plan course content & goal
Regularly evaluate student learning
3. Continuously revise teaching method and course goal

Tutoring Approach:

I believe analogy is the best kept secrets in education. It will be often used in my class to facilitate students understanding of subjects. I would give my students a lot of encouragement to create a rewarding learning environment and let learning happen, after all nine tenths of education is encouragement. Of course my teaching strategy varies depending on which learning method works best for my students (such as hands-on learning, visual learning, auditory learning, etc). Prior to our class, I need to know tutee’s subject/topics of interest and current academic performance. I will carefully plan the course goal and content together with tutee/their parents and continuously revise it after evaluating student learning in assignments/quizzes/exams.

My rates vary according to travel distance and level of difficulty of the subject(40-60 CAD/hour).

Grade 7-10: 40 cad pee hour
Grade 11-12: 50 cad per hour
SAT: 60 cad per hour
Undergrad: 60 cad per hour
GRE, GMAT, MCAT, DAT: 70 cad per hour

Four persons: 30% off
