Personal Description:

I am a recent graduate of Brock University with an HBSc in Medical Sciences. I am currently attending the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a post-graduate student. I find that tutoring is great job to have during school, since it keeps my mind active and allows me to practice and develop several skills I can take into my future profession.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for over a year now. I started tutoring while taking an experiential learning course at Brock University where I was a lab volunteer for a biostatistics course. I was required to aid students with concepts during lab time and offered tutoring to students outside of lab. Currently, I am responsible for the tutoring of several students through online platforms.

Tutoring Approach:

During the pandemic, material is being presented at an increased pace in higher volumes through several different platforms. I like to take the material and recap what they have learned in a slower, more comprehensible way. I often let students guide the session and what they focus on, allowing them to understand their strengths and weaknesses and giving them a leadership role in their studies.
