Personal Description:

I am a mature, hardworking, and honest person, that is how my parents raised me. I fell in love with being an ESL teacher, but also enjoy writing and find beauty in putting the English language together in stories, essays, or papers. This has led me to offer tutoring services to help others find the same joy in learning to speak, write and understand English better. I also delight in knowing how our world works so I also am available to assist in science or biology studies.

I am currently in my final year of my Bachelor of Arts degree through Lancaster Bible College's Accelerated Undergraduate Degree program. I only have eight more courses to complete, with an expected graduation date of December 2021.

I am a mom to eight children ages 23 down to 10. I love to read, watch movies and TV shows with subtitles, play board games with my children, bake, swim, kayak, go to the beach in the summer, or just stay at home with my family.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been an online ESL teacher for three years. I have taught over 1850 group classes (1-4 students per class), and 300-500 1v1 classes. I earned my TESOL and TEYL certification during the summer of 2019. I currently tutor Chinese students online through a non-profit organization out of Ontario. I also have 17 years of experience as a home educator to eight children.

Tutoring Approach:

I want to teach you or your child how to learn to the best of your/their ability. I do not do your or your child's homework, I will guide, prompt, and give you the tools you or your child needs to do assignments, essays, papers, or study. I am a life-long-learner and believe we never stop learning. My philosophy in teaching or tutoring is to stir up curiosity that leads to the student desiring to learn more, which will ultimately enable him or her to become a life-long-learner as well.
