This is how a referee rated Taneya:
I am a university student at the University of Waterloo who graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. I like teaching and tutoring because it is a two-way street that benefits both the students and me, the tutor. As someone who hopes to work with others of all ages in the future, I think teaching is a great way for people to connect, share, and learn from each other.
I am someone who looks forward to challenges and thinks of resilience as my greatest asset. I believe that every setback is an opportunity to better oneself and prepare for any future inconveniences. I can work comfortably with all age groups. You can contact me if you need guidance with topics related to language studies, grammar and literature.
I have previous experience working with younger children in both a school and camp setting. I have taught lessons and also helped with homework as well as questions in general before. I used to peer tutor at my high school but have since stopped to make time for tutees on this website.
I wish to empower young minds in any way possible! Personally, I prefer tutoring in public learning locations (such as a library or recreation centre) and use means of exemplars and homework to teach lessons but am open to trying other methods as well! I can help with current homework and lessons or teach new material, it depends on the student and what they desire to learn.
