Personal Description:
I'm a passionate tutor who is looking to help grades 9-12 students out on their mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics.
I know how to teach students to study deeply, finish tests quicker, memorize the tiny details for multiple choice questions, and stop making small simple mistakes on math problems, because I have gone through the same process myself. Now, I am able to pass the knowledge and habits onto my students. If I wasn't able to teach all of these things, I wouldn't have had the amazing opportunity to tutor more than two dozen students privately and more than 1000 students online via my own web seminars. In addition, I can speak Mandarin and teach to ESL students.
I appreciate you visiting my tutoring page, and I hope I can be of assistance. Thank you
Tutoring Experience:
I'm a Queen's university student studying health sciences. I have 600+ hours of experience in 1 on 1 tutoring for math, physics, biology, and chemistry subjects from grades 9-12. I charge 50$/hr, online tutoring via live screen shares in addition to recorded lectures.
I graduated high school with a 98% average with the following grades (proof available upon request)
Grade 12 AP Math: 99
Grade 12 AP Chemistry: 96
Grade 12 AP Biology: 97
Grade 12 AP Physics: 99
I have tutored students at the followed schools:
Richmond Hill High School
Bayview Secondary School
Alexander Mackenzie High School
Richmond Green Secondary School
St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School
Saint Roberts Catholic High School
Jean Vanier Catholic High School
Downsview Secondary School
Tutoring Approach:
My ideology is simple: to practice and to master. I believe a student has fully learned a concept when they can connect it with other ideas, apply that knowledge to various challenging problems, and never forget what they've learned for the rest of their academic career.
I know for students that are being tutored, having a tutor that can quickly identify gaps in their knowledge is crucial. More importantly, the tutor must fill that gap in knowledge in such a clear and concise way that the student fully understands the concept that is being taught. The tutor must be able to quickly pick up on the student's learning pace and style and their academic goals. That is why for each of my students, I personalize my teaching approach and emphasize the importance of practice and problem solving.

really appreciated you actually help her specifically on the questions she did not understand and actually showed her the work and did the questions together. This helps her a lot as she learnt the way to tackle the problem, she really needs someone to show her the questions she has problem with concretely rather than asked her to do them herself as the previous tutor did. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for your help.
