This is how 2 referees rated Sunny:
SMALL GROUP SESSIONS ARE 35$/hr, AND PRIVATE TUTORING IS 75$/hr. (small **Contact Detail Removed** range from 2-3 people, and students in the group are learning the same subject. Before students are enrolled into a group class, they are put in a waiting list until enough students fill up. Both private and small group sessions are available online or at my home. The sessions follow a flexible curriculum dictated by the students). In addition, all my students get 24/7 online homework help.
I'm a passionate tutor who is looking to help grades 9-12 students out on their mathematics, chemistry, and physics.
To tell you a little bit about myself, I would like to share a short story from my grade 9 year in high school. The teacher had just finished marking the first math quiz of the semester, and when the teacher handed the wrinkly paper back to me, I was shocked. It did not have a smiley sticker on the front, and neither did the teacher seem to be happy to give it to me. Rather, it bled of red ink and all the corrections and x marks she put. I flipped the paper around and saw the quiz. 11 marks out of the 25. On my first math quiz, I had scored 11/25, or a failing grade of 44%.
After that incident, I realized something had to change. So, I tried every possible way to study, and worked extremely hard to apply myself. I learned how to study deeply, finish tests quicker, memorize the tiny details for multiple choice questions, stop making small simple mistakes on math problems, and much more. My pathway to a tutor first began as being the student who would have the lowest math grade in the class. That is why I started my introduction with a story of one of my greatest failures. It is because the pathway to academic success comes only with continuous failure.
After years of learning how to learn, and making many mistakes along the way, I have molded myself into getting a 96.6 average in the subjects of math, chemistry, and physics. My overall average is a 95, and all my courses have grades higher than 90. Most tutors start their introduction with their great achievements. I started my introduction with my greatest failure. That is because behind every successful teacher is a student that failed continuously. That is also the reason why my students can improve so greatly. I understand the difficulties students often face when it comes to education, and how to effectively fix those problems, because I put myself in the shoes of the student.
I know how to teach students to study deeply, finish tests quicker, memorize the tiny details for multiple choice questions, and stop making small simple mistakes on math problems, because I have gone through the same process myself. Now, I am able to pass the knowledge and habits onto my students. If I wasn't able to teach all of these things, I wouldn't have had the amazing opportunity to tutor more than two dozen students privately and more than 1000 students online via my own web seminars. In addition, I can speak Mandarin and teach to ESL students.
I appreciate you visiting my tutoring page, and I hope I can be of assistance. Thank you
I have 600+ hours of experience in 1 on 1 tutoring for many subjects from grades 9-12. I have also spent two years as a Physics lecturer at my school. In addition, my online courses in AP Chemistry and SCH4U/E have reached over 1000+ students on both my personal tutoring website and Udemy. Finally, I have done mathematical statistics and environmental science research at the University of Toronto.
Side Note: I am a senior student at Richmond Hill High School, so if you're studying at RHHS and want a more specialized learning geared towards getting high grades and tackling assignments, I am eager to be of assistance. In addition, I have tutored students from these high schools:
Richmond Hill High School
Bayview Secondary School
Alexander Mackenzie High School
Richmond Green Secondary School
St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School
Saint Roberts Catholic High School
Jean Vanier Catholic High School
Downsview Secondary School
My ideology is simple: to practice and to master. I believe a student has fully learned a concept when they can connect it with other ideas, apply that knowledge to various challenging problems, and never forget what they've learned for the rest of their academic career.
I know for students that are being tutored, having a tutor that can quickly identify gaps in their knowledge is crucial. More importantly, the tutor must fill that gap in knowledge in such a clear and concise way that the student fully understands the concept that is being taught. The tutor must be able to quickly pick up on the student's learning pace and style and their academic goals. That is why for each of my students, I personalize my teaching approach and emphasize the importance of practice and problem solving.

really appreciated you actually help her specifically on the questions she did not understand and actually showed her the work and did the questions together. This helps her a lot as she learnt the way to tackle the problem, she really needs someone to show her the questions she has problem with concretely rather than asked her to do them herself as the previous tutor did. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for your help.
Thank you :)
