Information About SukhreetMarkham tutor
This is how a referee rated Sukhreet:
I am a university student studying physics at the University of Toronto. I would like to consider myself as a very relaxed person who takes the prospect of helping people to be the best part of tutoring. I have always been passionate about math and science, and I think being able to teach these subjects presents an opportunity for me to make the best use of my skills. I have achieved top placements in various math and science competitions (feel free to ask me about them as I love talking about them) and I have also been awarded with numerous scholarships for my academic achievement. Therefore, with all decency, I would like to say that I know what it takes to do well in school, and my goal is to help others in achieving their dream results.
I am a certified tutor from the Licence to Learn (L2L) tutoring organization. By that end, I have considerable experience in tutoring mainly high school students. Indeed, having recently been an advanced placement (AP) student myself, I have experience in tutoring mostly high school math and science although I am also capable of teaching up to the first year university level. In particular, I have tutored grade 12 AP calculus and advanced functions, grade 12 AP physics, grade 12 AP chemistry, as well as all the standard university-level high school math and science courses.
I am an avid believer in the Feynman method of learning. To elaborate, I think the best way to learn a subject is to think, as one is learning, that they are a teacher who is preparing a lesson on the subject matter. This approach has allows motivated me to really develop an understanding and appreciation of the material, which subsequently makes the teaching of the content come naturally. For this reason, my approach to tutoring consists of focusing on developing a strong conceptual and intuitive understanding for math and science. Once one has these qualities cemented in their mind, the results have no choice but to follow.
