Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Shianne. I have a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Alberta, and I am currently working on my MD at UNBC. I am bilingual in French and English. I have tutored middle school and high school students in math, biology, physics, chemistry, and French for the past four years.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored middle and high school students in sciences, math, and French over the past four years as well as university students in biology.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring varies greatly from student to student and subject to subject depending on how they learn best, but my number one priority is that students are engaged and actively participating. Whether that mean drawing pictures and diagrams on a whiteboard, creating games to test the student's knowledge, or role reversal where the student teaches me what they know about the subject.
