Personal Description:
Hi! I am currently doing my Masters in Science at McMaster University after graduating with a Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. I am extremely passionate about promoting STEM education to kids and students. I am a patient, dedicated and enthusiastic individual who will ensure students have consistent and different forms of practice to tackle learning problems.
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience tutoring high-school - university students in the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus. I have also been a teaching assistant and peer tutor for courses like Biochemistry and Cell Biology.
Tutoring Approach:
Given that my bachelors program was prestigious and well-known for founding inquiry-based learning, my approach to tutoring will be to encourage inquiry. Research shows that this contributes well to long-term learning and is vital to academic development. This approach involves encouraging students to ask questions and trying to identify problems collectively and explore different ways of solving a given task. I will provide various resources to complement learning a given concept and cater to students' needs as much as possible.
