Personal Description:

I have a passion for helping others learn. I can help students with college English, writing college essays, and public speaking. I can also help students prepare for the English section of the ACT. My teaching certification program has provided me with the tools I need to be an effective English tutor for high school and college students.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. I then went on to earn my teaching license and my master's in Social Science at a secondary education level. I have experience working with students at university and tutoring my classmates when I was in high school.

Tutoring Approach:

I first get to know my student's academic goals and interests and then provide them with comprehensive and engaging instruction. I find out my student's most effective learning style so I can present material in a way that helps them learn most efficiently. I prefer guided exploration of concepts over my giving the answers to students.
