Information About Owen
This is how 2 referees rated Owen:
I am a graduate of Waterloo's nanotechnology engineering BASc. I pursued a Masters in chemical engineering also through Waterloo. I left it to pursue a PhD in psychology, which I am currently applying to.
During the last five years I have been tutoring high school gr. 11/12 sciences, undergraduate chemistry (including organic), physics, math and I've been a teaching assistant for undergraduate nanotechnology at the University of Waterloo.
I enjoy helping students find the underlying principles that tie a course together. In this way, a smaller number of fundamental ideas expand to cover the material. This makes it easier to understand and integrate the content. Over teaching a course I demonstrate and build a strong problem solving methodology that can be readily applied to future courses and extension problems.
