Personal Description:

I am an OCT certified teacher. I attended York University and have B.A. in Psychology and B.A. Education. I love working with young children to help them develop the right tools to succeed in school. I love reading books and cooking and showing the real-life applications of what is learned in the classroom.

Tutoring Experience:

As a teacher candidate, I have worked in different schools and with children of different ages. Also, I have volunteered over 5 years with Toronto Public Library Reading to Leading program where I helped students with their reading and writing skills. My teaching qualifications are in the P/J division ( k-6). Also, I have experience working with preschoolers as a summer camp counsellor. I have experience tutoring groups online in maths and English ( gr 1, 3, 5).

Tutoring Approach:

I believe every child learns differently. While I like to take problem solving approach to subjects math I understand the importance of having a foundation in basic skills. I am willing to work with your child base on their needs. I also like to incorporate games when learning new concepts.
