Personal Description:

I am a biology tutor for college-level and high school students. In addition to offering tutoring for general biology, I can also help students who are taking specialized courses in the field such as microbiology.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in biochemistry. I tutored individuals and groups throughout my collegiate career through the Women in Science and Engineering program. I also have experience volunteering at my church to work with elementary level and high school students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important to get to know my students and how they learn and then using that information to tackle any academic struggles by using their strengths. After assessing the needs of the student, I like to develop a learning plan. I know the best way to build academic confidence is with consistent practice. I never give up and feel confident explaining concepts in a variety of ways until the student is comfortable moving forward.
