This is how 2 referees rated Luke:
My name is Luke. I am a Mechanical Engineer (P.ENG.) with over 12 years of experience in my field. I am currently a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program at NSCC. To be successful in engineering you must have an understanding of many math and physics principles. I love sharing my knowledge and teaching these principles to others!
I have been a mentor to several young engineering students over the past three years. I have been teaching mechanical engineering technology for over a year at NSCC.
I am in the process of finishing my Adult Education Program at NSCC . The focus of this training is Universal Design for Learning Principles (UDL). Every student learns differently, so it does not make sense the teach every student in the same way. Their are many strategies and teaching methods that can be used to ensure every student gets a chance to learn effectively. Math and Physics do not have to be intimidating subjects. If the material is presented correctly anyone can learn and be successful in Math/Physics related careers like Engineering!
