Personal Description:

I am a teacher, coach, wife and mother. My interests include sports, traveling and outdoor activities. I'm a very positive, outgoing person. Recently, I've also taken up blogging and have started my own **E-mail Address Removed** as well as have written for a variety of education blogs.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a secondary English teacher and Literacy Department Head. I have extensive experience with EQAO testing and administration. I've also previously held the title of Special Education Department Head and am familiar with special education IEP's, accommodations and psychoeducational reports. I also teach elearning courses in the summer months. I have tutored on and off since the beginning of my career in education 15 years ago.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a growth mind-set and goal oriented approach to teaching. Before beginning work with a student, I complete a full pre-assessment of their current level and educational goals before working with them (and/or their parents) to create a working plan for improvement.
