Personal Description:

I have a lot of experience working with young and adult learners as a tutor and teacher, including as an ESL teacher. I tutor native English speakers and ESL/ELL students in a number of areas related to writing and language. Tutoring Experience:

I hold a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies. For several years I have worked as a private tutor and teacher, and have worked with elementary school students, high schoolers, and college students.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to take a nurturing approach to my work as an English tutor. That is not to say that I do not try to challenge students in my sessions, only that I do so in a way that will build their confidence, rather than discourage them. If a student is struggling with the material, I want to discover the root cause so that we can address it.
