Personal Description:

Hi, my name is John. I enjoy helping students succeed and empowering them with knowledge and skills. As an economics tutor, I know that becoming an independent learner and thinker is crucial. I have the experience and ability to apply various strategies to help you learn the toughest topics.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently an undergraduate studying economics. I've tutored students in math and SAT prep in the past and know how to provide the tools needed to help students develop independent thinking skills and become better problem solvers. I have also worked as a volunteer income tax assistant.

Tutoring Approach:

Being a guide for the student truly engages them with the material. Once I learn what aspect of a concept is most challenging to the student, I apply a teaching method I believe is most likely to help clarify any confusion. I use tests, quizzes, and practice problems to enhance a student's engagement with the material.
