Personal Description:

Ni Hao (Hello)! I am a Mandarin native speaker with Taiwan MOE Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language certificate and HSK/YCT exam preparation certified teacher. Passionate about teaching Mandarin to non-native speakers.

Tutoring Experience:

8 years experience as a senior Chinese teacher and Curriculum Developer in a Mandarin language school and provided off-site CCA/ECA teaching (e.g. Tanglin trust school, Hollandse international school, Singapore international school, American Club…etc) in Singapore. Besides,tutored Mandarin for working expat and their kids for IB, AP, IGCSE, A level, YCT, HSK and other Chinese proficiency exams. Proven ability to teach a diverse ages and backgrounds and always customize lesson plans to meet students’ individual needs.

Currently, I teach Mandarin at Saturday Chinese school, language centers and community center in Greater Vancouver.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to develop hands-on lessons for students to inspire them for learning Mandarin and fulfill their language learning objectives. As a professional tutor, I always adjust different teaching techniques and always guide my students through my lessons while meeting their individual learning requirements. My teaching content includes: Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Grammar, Chinese Characters, Cultural Teaching, etc…
