Personal Description:

I make a great English tutor because I sincerely care about the academic growth and success my students experience. I do whatever is necessary to present material in a creative way that helps each student understand and retain the information. I have experience helping students prepare for the SAT as well as teaching English as a Second Language.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Spanish and went on to earn my master's degree in Adult Education. I have more than 10 years of experience supporting students at a college level. I can tutor students in College English, English grammar and syntax, and other English topics. I can also help students prepare for the Reading, Writing, and Language sections of standardized tests like the PSAT and SAT.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that to truly learn new information, connections must be made with previously learned information. This necessitates a student's attention, motivation, and repetition. It's my job as an English tutor to integrate my student's personal interests to help motivate them and keep them fully engaged in the tutoring process.
