Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Isha and I am a 4th year student at McMaster University, completing my Bachelor of Health Sciences. Throughout the course of my academic career, I have developed a great interest in the English subject (achieved a 95% in Grade 12) and have been successful in understanding the various skills and foundations of building a strong background in it. Excelling in areas such as essay-writing, test-taking, literacy and verbal presentations, I hope to assist students who may be struggling in these areas, or just need some extra motivation.

- Frontier College Literacy Tutor from 2020 to present
- Counselor at the STEM Camp of Oakville in 2019
- Summer TD Reading Program Volunteer from 2015 - 2017

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is through passion. Going through school and many English classes, I was able to develop a passion for the subject, however, I recognize that this is not always the case for every student. My goal is to connect with and motivate students by introducing them to the small things which make English such a fun subject, allowing them to understand the value of its importance in professional life. I hope to work with students in an inclusive environment where they feel comfortable to express their opinions and build their skills, because that is essentially what English is about!
