Personal Description:

I am a skilled biology tutor for high school and university students. I'm originally from a little island called Mauritius off the coast of Madagascar.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in bioengineering and economics and my graduate degree in biomedical engineering. I taught math part-time in the U.S. for five years before helping to create a biomedical analytics company, so I've got a lot of experience in the biological sciences.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important to be as detailed as possible when working with students and to also provide a lot of hands-on exercises and activities when applicable. In my experience, students often don't understand concepts because they've been presented too broadly or with convoluted explanations. I like to break them down step-by-step until the student understands fully. To do this, it's important to take the time to learn where the student is academically so that lessons can be customized to help them reach their academic goals efficiently.
