Personal Description:

I am a positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. I love my job and I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future, I feel I am doing my job well.
Throughout my life I have lived in Panama, Italy and Canada which is where I'm currently based. Not only am I fluent in the languages I teach but I also have hands-on experience with the cultures which enriches the learning experience for my students.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 2+ years of experience tutoring/teaching children and teenagers in Spanish, Italian, English and French.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is that I tailor my lessons to the needs of the student. Due to the current pandemic all my lessons are online via Zoom or Skype. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run the lessons in support of the progression of my students, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires.
As I aim to tailor my tuition to the individual I expect students to maintain regular contact in regards to their subject progressions and their individual needs. It would be ideal for students to arrive at tuition sessions with a clear idea of what it is they hope to get from the sessions.

When tutoring children I am more than happy to meet with the parents or guardians of my students prior to the commencement of tuition in order to ascertain what they wish their child to gain from tuition. I believe that regular communication with the parents during the tuition period is extremely important to obtain as much as possible from the sessions.
