Personal Description:

To me, there is no better feeling than helping a student really understand some core concepts relating to the subject that I am instructing them on. As someone who needed a tutor during high school, I understand the importance of 1-on-1 instruction and the difference that it can make in an individual's life.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a physics tutor since 2014. I also have my Bachelor of Mathematics with a focus on physics. I teach physics at both the high school and college levels. My approach when it comes to tutoring is to be patient with my students and to empathize with their problems; the more that we understand each other the easier it is to create an environment that facilitates learning.

Tutoring Approach:

One element of my tutoring approach is to rely on my emotional intelligence. It is important as instructors to understand when our students are becoming frustrated or angry. These are natural emotions that occur when you are having difficulty with problems, and it is important to recognize them and deal with them otherwise students will tune out.
