Information About Bryan
Aurora tutorPersonal Description:
I have been working as a professional tutor for over 8 years in the York and Durham regions and have operated as a tutor during my career in university as well.
I have a PhD in Materials Science and use my knowledge of the material and abilities as a teacher to ensure students are on top of their game at any level. I also have an undergraduate teaching certificate. I work out of Aurora but am also happy to do online sessions for convenience.
Tutoring Experience:
I am well-versed in chemistry, physics, functions, calculus/vectors, as well as general maths and sciences. I have over 8 years experience working with undergrad, high school, and middle school crossing all levels of courses.
Tutoring Approach:
Together we work on a plan that is custom to the student and I make sure they have a solid understanding of the course foundations before we work on practice, scaling from the very simple up to the hardest questions in the course. Methods of test writing and study skills are important for each student to have during their careers.
Students have come to me to refine their study skills and learning habits, resulting in mark increases "across the board". My experience as a lecturer in a university setting and working with high schoolers, has given me insights into what makes a successful student and how one can achieve this.
