This is how 3 referees rated Bjoern:
I am a Biochemistry Masters student at the University of Calgary. My present studies and lab work are focused on immunology and proteomics. I have a diverse history of academic learning in the sciences, including, chemistry, biochemistry, and statistics. I am most experienced in Tutoring Gr12 and first year chemistry.
I have always been athletic and played many sports (Hockey, Football, Rugby, Soccer) and value a healthy balanced lifestyle. Moreover I am a social and amiable person who gets along well with anyone.
I happen to also speak four languages (English, German, French, Spanish). Knowing these second languages improves my communication abilities, especially, for ESL students.

Specific goal centered approach. What are you hoping to learn in our tutoring sessions? Do you want assignment specific solutions, or a thorough understanding at the conceptual level? While I love to go down a rabbit hole in explaining a concept to make it clear and tangible, I can appreciate the necessity for a brief, straight to the point message to get the work done. The choice is yours.
I like to teach by analogy, visualization, and when possible, by using models (e.g. molecular). By these methods I make the subject content more relatable, and students can really feel they understand it more easily.
I yearn for the "Eureka!" moment when it finally 'clicks' in my students.
