My name is Ashley and I'm a language specialist. I am a language teacher, EFL examiner (IELTS, Cambridge, Trinity), a teacher trainer, translator and interpreter. I work with many languages, but on this platform I'd like to share three: English (mother tongue), Italian (mother tongue) and Spanish (C2 level).
I was raised in the UK and Italy, but have lived in 6 countries, including Spain! I am a nomad at heart and love moving around the globe, soaking up different languages and cultures.
I have over 15 years of teaching experience to a wide variety of students, age groups, nationalities and classroom settings. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a student: every year, I try to add one new language to my language bank. This keeps the mind fresh and, even more importantly, enables me to be a student, just like you - I truly believe that in order to guide you and give you practical techniques for language learning, I need to know what you are experiencing.
I adopt the communicative approach, which is student-centred. I strive to create a safe, welcoming learning environment and share my passion for and knowledge of my key languages with my students. I am enthusiastic and passionate - after all, if I'm not excited about language learning, why should you be?!
