Personal Description:

I consider myself a lifelong learner and am looking forward to sharing that passion with others as a tutor. I like to tutor chemistry, physical science, algebra, and standardized test prep. I don't consider my job finished until my student has learned more than they expected to.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 20 years of experience teaching high school chemistry. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and earned a master's degree in Instruction, Curriculum, and Leadership, so I am prepared to answer any questions that may be posed to a chemistry tutor. I also have a decade of ACT tutoring experience including helping my sons earn good scores.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to find the gaps in a student's knowledge base and try to address them, helping them develop a more well-rounded understanding of pH or ionic nomenclature. I also believe that technology has an important role to play in modern learning.
