Personal Description:

I'm a former teacher who is certified in both English and Special Education. I have been teaching in one capacity or another for the last five years. I am available as an English tutor for students from first grade through the college level, in basic English topics as well as world literature, essay editing, American literature, and writing.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in English and followed that up by earning my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I've taught in a variety of school systems, and I was also an instructional coach. I'm currently working on my doctorate in Education.

Tutoring Approach:

It's my responsibility to meet my student where they are and then guide them towards doing their best academically. I enjoy getting to know each student and what holds their interest. I have my students tell me their strengths and weaknesses as well as their preferred learning styles so I can adapt my tutoring methods accordingly.
