Personal Description:

I am currently a student in teachers college studying at Medaille College. I have a Bachelors of Arts degree from York University where I majored in History and had a minor in Humanities. I have a passion for teaching and mentoring students. I know how important it has been for me to have teachers that were encouraging and inspiring. I love to read, watching movies and listen to music. I love all things Disney and try to go to Disney World every year. I like musicals, Star Wars and Harry Potter. I am an animal lover and like to travel around the world. I most recently toured Italy.

Tutoring Experience:

Volunteered with a high school Teacher at Father Michael McGivney Academy (classes included History, Politics and Law)
Volunteered with Junior Achievement to teach Financial Literacy to Grade 7 and 8 students
Primary trainer new Retail Experience Associates at the Tangerine Bank (trained students in banking products and procedures)

Tutoring Approach:

I want learning to be both informative and fun. I think it is important to learn in various ways, that being with visual aids, videos, group work (if possible) and reading. I hope to break up the day so that it is not always the same form of teaching.
I will be assisting students with their assignments. Determine the students needs from me, and work with their learning style as best I can.
