Information About Andrea
This is how 2 referees rated Andrea:
I am a graduate student at the University of Toronto, working towards my Master of Science in Biochemistry. I also received my Bachelor of Science from UofT, where I double-majored in Pharmacology and Neuroscience, with a minor in French.
I've tutored many students throughout the years. In my last two years of high school, I tutored four students (two elementary school students and two high school students) collectively in math, english, and science. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I taught two other students in math, biology, and chemistry. Finally, In my third and fourth years, I was a course instructor for a computational chemistry course, where I had the chance to work with over 20 students over the course of two years, both on an individual basis and by teaching small groups.
I approach every new student and tutoring session as an exciting challenge, and measure my success by not only how well I can help a student understand the subject material, but also by the extent to which I can help them become excited to learn. This way, students have a better chance of succeeding in other courses that they are taking and potentially struggling in, and often become more passionate about learning.
