Personal Description:

I enjoy challenging my students to think outside the box and be open to learning in different ways than they are used to. However, I always consider the needs of each student when I develop lesson plans. I am a math tutor who is especially adept in test prep, so if you have an upcoming math exam, we can prepare for it together.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a third-grade teacher, and I have been for over four years. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master's degree in education. I am also certified to teach elementary students.

Tutoring Approach:

Working with children has helped me to understand that each student has their own unique learning needs. I design lesson plans that reflect those needs. I believe it is important for students to feel validated and make progress even when they are struggling, so I incorporate concepts they already know to boost their confidence.
