Information About AaronSquamish tutor
This is how a referee rated Aaron:
I recently graduated with First Class Honours from University College London in the UK, one of the top 10 universities in the world. I'm originally from Germany and grew up trilingually, speaking Spanish, German and English. I can also read and write Arabic. I scored a 325 in my first GRE attempt, with a 6.0 analytical writing score which places me in the 99th percentile. I look forward to helping you learn sustainably, grow as a learner and a person, and reach your academic goals with confidence!
I've spent several months teaching debating and rhetoric skills as part of a charitable program in London called Debate Mate. This was a challenging but rewarding experience which I would like to build on further
My approach to tutoring is rooted in my own experience struggling with mathematics. In middle school, I did not enjoy or do well in the subject. By the time I graduated high school, I achieved the highest grade possible in the IB Diploma and then even went on to take a maths course at university level. I understand how it feels to be disheartened and think "I'm just not made for this subject." I've become convinced that a one-size-fits-all approach is counterproductive in tutoring. Everyone learns and understands concepts differently. My approach to tutoring is therefore focused on being as adaptive and individualized as possible. This helps students achieve sustainable understanding of key concepts, as opposed to simply remembering and repeating certain methods.
