Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Paul and I am a tutor looking to help students in History, English, Politics and study skills. I currently hold a Masters degree in History in which I specialised in political and social history. I have extensive experience of tutoring from my time working for the University of Glasgow as a widening participation tutor in their outreach programmes. I have also privately tutored students in modern studies and history.

Tutoring Experience:

Extensive experience of tutoring in my previous role as Widening Participation tutor for the University of Glasgow.
Experience of private tutoring students in History, English and study skills.
Experience of delivering educational programmes to adults in my role as Employment and Skills adviser.
BA: Hons in History and Masters in History from the University of Stirling and University of Glasgow respectively.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach has always been to tailor my lessons around the individual student with an aim to develop their critical thinking skills alongside their knowledge of the subject area. My approach is to make the student feel relaxed and engaged with the area of study and to ensure that each topic is presented in a lively and informative way.
