Personal Description:

My name is Nicole and I am passionate about education and helping students discover a love of learning.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a certified teacher in a school board in Toronto. Before I became certified, I always had a passion for teaching and learning. Most of my mature years I have been working with kids - I was a camp counsellor at three different summer camps since high school (Olympia Sports Camp, Camp Green Acres, High Birch Childcare and Learning Centre Inc.); I have been a private tutor throughout school; I was an after-school program instructor; and finally I went to teacher's college after my undergrad at Queen's University to become a certified teacher.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is always child-centred. The student should be doing the learning, and I make sure that is always the case by differentiating my instruction to fit the individual and unique needs and learning styles of each student. I always make the appropriate accommodations and modifications that are necessary to suit the learner.
