Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Nick, and I want to tutor you to become the best student you can be. As a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa law school, and a full-time lawyer, I've become proficient in the study of law. My experience and education can be extended to many different scholastic pursuits and the rigours of law school have given me the tool-kit to help you or your loved one improve your grades and obtain a better appreciation for learning.
As a father, and an older brother to younger siblings, I love to invest in the youth and encourage academic excellence. With a perfect balance of attention on the books and attention on the person, I strive to find solutions that will help each individual student to become proficient in learning the law or any other course that they are taking.
Law is not my only passion, and in fact, I am also experienced in English, Writing, Socials, Political Science, and History. If you think that you can benefit from some extra help in any of these subjects, I will work together with you to help bring out your inner gifts and intelligence.
Tutoring Experience:
Private tutoring experience only.
Tutoring Approach:
Students can often be discouraged during their studies when not properly encouraged to find a system that works for them. Every student is completely different in terms of their study habits, their memorization capabilities, their interests, and their capability to focus. No matter the student, my first job as a tutor is to discern who you are as a student and a person. To try and tutor before doing this would be not useful.
If you get anxious or nervous about studying for exams and tests, don't stress. I use techniques and strategies to help you feel prepared and even excited to ace that next test. I'm very relaxed and encouraging. I also know when my students are not giving it their all, and I find ways to push you to your best.
