Personal Description:

Hi my name is Sean :)

I am a current teacher working in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne at a government secondary school. I have a strong passion for education and giving everyone the opportunity to achieve their best. I offer a wealth of experience from my everyday life, that gives me the patience and creativity to explain a concept multiple ways until someone understands it. I also have a range of resources that are readily available, meaning I can create individual tutoring programs that cater especially to your needs. Mathematics education is rapidly changing within schools and I offer an insight in the best ways to prepare for internal and external assessments. I teach all year levels from 7-12 and have a wealth of experience in helping you identify what it is you need to do to achieve your personal best.

Tuition Experience:

I currently teach at a local government high school in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I have been teaching for five years and absolutely love what I do. Within my job I offer a range of extra opportunities for student to get the assistance they need with their school work, such as running lunchtime help sessions and homework club after school.

Tutoring Approach:

Each and every person learns differently, so I can't give you a definitive outline of what tuition will look like for you. The first session presents us both with an opportunity, for me to learn what it is that I can best help you with, and for you to learn whether my style of tuition will suit you.

Each session is pre-planned, meaning we have contact with one another throughout the week. It might be you have a test coming up soon and we spend our session reviewing key concepts, practicing test questions or learning how to utilise time in a test or exam. You may have just had a lesson at school and what the teacher covered wasn't very clear. I might bring an activity or worksheet to consolidate the content covered, or offer a different set of work to help you learn the material.

What I can promise is that each of your sessions you will get my best. I will stay in contact with you throughout the week and offer you suggestions on how to get the best pit of your tutoring experience.
