Information about Pratibha - Melbourne tutor

Personal Description:

I finished my masters in English in 2018 with a specialization in World Literature and Cultural studies. Subsequently, I took GRE and TOEFL, and aced them in 2019 while teaching undergraduate classes at a nearby college for a year. Post Covid lockdown, in 2021, I began an interdisciplinary PhD in the field of History and English.

Tuition Experience:

I have been teaching since 2015. As a college student, I volunteered to teach young children in shelter homes. Later on, after post-graduation, I taught undergraduate classes as a Resource person. For the last 4 years, I have been actively engaged in online tutoring.
I'm well-acquainted with International Baccalaureate, GCSE, ICSE, CBSE and American curricula.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe everything is intertwined and connected with each other: politics, music, gender, culture, etc. Hence, I like to include a little bit of everything (like movies, power-point presentations, anecdotes, etc) in my classes.
Moreover, every individual has different needs and requirements and I'm here to customise my lesson plans according to their strengths and weaknesses. In Humanities, there's no one quick-fix formula which can be applied to all the students so I offer a complimentary trial session to understand the student's expectations, and for them to get acquainted with my teaching style.
