Information about Harmeet - Bayswater tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Harmeet and I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Primary and Secondary) at Deakin University Burwood. I have just graduated from my Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Literary Studies and minoring in Education, Criminology and Politics. I have a passion for helping students achieve their goals and potential when it comes to education.

Tuition Experience:

I have extensive tutoring and mentoring experience, having tutored now for six years both privately and with several leading education providers around Melbourne. I am currently working for the Department of Education and Training and have worked full time as the manager of Fruition Tuition.

I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant in both Primary and Secondary schools for Anzuk.Education and was also employed by Deakin University as an educational researcher. I was selected as a Youth Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation which involved national meetings discussing education and exactly how this can be incorporated into third world countries.

Tutoring Approach:

With every student, I create individualised programmes for Maths and English, with each programme guided by a comprehensive assessment that identifies strengths and weaknesses. This will in turn, help to identify the students abilities and thus, ensure learning is tailored to the exact learning needs of the students. It will also be identified whether the student is a visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learner to ensure the methods of teaching fulfil the individual way of learning.
